To Our Executives:
I've heard
a couple of dealers ask the question; "Isn't voting in a union declaring war
on management?" Absolutely not! Most of us dealers have the greatest respect
and are very friendly with our floor people, pit managers, shift managers,
and even our casino manager. It's not management we have a problem
with, it's upper management; Essentially it's about corporate greed and
being treated like a number and using that number to increase their bottom
line. They're the ones who really hate the idea of dealers unionizing. They
understand that this might cut into their bottom line. They know that this
will probably end up costing their multi-million dollar bonuses a slight
trimming. Improved health and retirement benefits, PTO/flex time incentives,
pay scale raises, and toke security all cost money. Our real goal here is to
keep the big boys honest and take care of our own.
To Upper Management:
We don’t mean for this to sound callous, but
you have done your jobs as effectively as possible, as have we. Unfortunately,
your business decisions were made with an indifference to our community in favor
of gratifying the board, shareholders, and your
own bonuses. Any appeal to our sense of teamwork and looking out for the
greater good has only meant one thing: our sacrifice for your excessive bonuses.
