There has been a significant
decrease in our tokes, as management has accommodated our best cliental
which were our best "tokers" else where such as the Bellagio and the
MGM, and this is straight from the customers mouth: they are promised a
higher credit limit , a better suite and not to mention better comps.
Management has been trying to tell us that WE are not polite enough to
the customers and that is why they haven't returned , NOT TRUE!
That would not be to our benefit, true that some of us are not as
talkative as others, but we are not going to bite the hand that feeds us.
I can remember when we could estimate during special events, the day before what we would make
in tokes such as $300's or $400's and the next day we were not very far
from that. But now we have no idea, the disappointments have been many.
Instead, we're generally slower, less upbeat and positive. Our morale is
so low that some of the dealers have just given into the management's way,
and maybe that is why we are less likely
to initiate a friendlier greeting than we use to, and less likely to to be truly happy
with our jobs. Even though we would never show it to the public, we try to
deal our best game regardless. It is
not easy knowing that indirectly management has control of our
income as far as tokes are concerned. We understand that
management has the right to move their patrons where ever they wish,
but as a result of that we have taken a hit on our tokes. We have
to wonder is this property being prepared to be sold off next?
What will happen then? Again our benefits change, and who knows they
can replace us just as they do the chips. Then here we go again.
We need a contract to protect and secure our future. That's
why we need to vote YES for the union!
