Frequently in a Union drive, management gives the illusion that they hear us and are making changes.
The simple fact is that they’ve been taking surveys for years, and we’ve
given our honest opinion of what we need, and have seen no results. They
may toss us a cookie or two in an attempt to pacify us during this
drive for example: we asked for a dealers room and we are suppose to get
a quiet room which is going to be available to ALL employees, how quiet is
that going to be. Bye-Bye dealers room. Remember that the only legal way to make any of their positive
changes stick and influence more changes is with a Union. The temporary change is little more
than an illusion and a delay tactic to avoid worthwhile, permanent change.
